About Janet
It seems as though I have been massaging people my whole life. As a child I remember massaging my grandmother’s back as she stood hunched over washing dishes every day. And I clearly remember rubbing my mom’s feet after a long day of work – even to the point of using a hammer to try to tap her bunions back into place! While they both said I had very strong therapeutic hands with a gentle compassionate touch, I decided to pursue a degree in Business Administration and earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin.
It wasn’t until after raising my three children and working in wellness clinics with physical therapists and chiropractors that I decided to pursue an education where I could get back to using my therapeutic hands to help clients who needed help with their chronic pain. I graduated from Carolina Massage Institute and have been using my hands and feet ever since to help people not only find relief from their pain but also give them the space to help reconnect with their mind and spirit.
What started out as a passion to help others has turned into a lifelong continuous journey of discovery and inspiration to cultivate my talent as a natural healer of the body, mind, and spirit. In my leisure time I enjoy learning new methods of massage therapy, traveling, and exploring the beautiful mountains and beaches of North Carolina.
I currently practice Deep Tissue Myofascial Release Massage, Relaxing Swedish Massage, and Ashiatsu.
