About Heather's work

Medical Massage
For individuals with chronic pain, tension, frozen shoulder, TMJD, ALS, MS, myasthenia gravis, plantar fasciitis etc to experience relief. My methods are very specific, anatomically accurate, yet smooth and deeply relaxing. Modalities may include deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point, hot stones, cupping and/or others.

Scar Tissue Mobilization is another technique that helps loosen and provides more ease of movement in scar tissue due to surgery, injuries, cesarean section, burns, etc.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage & Lymphatic Cupping
Bodywork technique for those experiencing swelling/lymphedema due to recent surgery (gender affirming, liposuction, cosmetic etc), lymph node removal, strains/sprains, pregnancy, lymphatic blockage, kidney disease, cirrhosis, and heart failure. It is not appropriate for clients with untreated heart failure, blood clots, active infections, acute kidney failure, active bleeding, malignant cirrhosis, or other untreated malignancies.

Cupping is a type of traditional Chinese practice using glass and/or silicone cups to lift tissue with suction rather than push down into it, as with most other types of massage. This is combined with lymphatic work to enhance and complement both disciplines to reduce swelling and promote healing. It can be particularly helpful after surgical procedures, such as cosmetic surgery, liposuction, face-lift, facial feminization surgery etc.

Relaxation Massage
For clients just looking to "peace out", release stress, and enhance their general well-being. I also offer prenatal massage for pregnant clients, hot stones for people who love the added warmth, and reflexology if footwork is your jam.

Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a relaxing, naturally occurring state of mind which happens daily (daydreaming, being absorbed in a good book). It occurs when the conscious mind relaxes and allows the subconscious mind to take over. This makes it easier for new ideas about desired changes to be accepted. Hypnotherapy is offered for smoking cessation, anxiety, nail biting, phobias, chronic pain, and other issues (if not listed, please call/email to discuss your specific issue). Please be under medical supervision for medical conditions as hypnosis is an adjunct therapy and not a replacement for medical care.
