About Sarah's work
Acupuncture
Acupuncture uses fine, sterile needles placed at specific anatomical points to engage the body's nervous system, modulate pain pathways, regulate the autonomic stress response, and support tissue repair. It calms what is over-activated, restores what has gone quiet, and returns the body to a state in which healing becomes possible again.
About Sarah
Sarah Stribling is a licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the state of North Carolina and is board-certified by the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.
Sarah’s desire to practice acupuncture came after her experience as a patient in treating her mild traumatic brain injury. She experienced firsthand how acupuncture and Traditional East Asian medicine not only were extremely beneficial in improving her condition, but the approach to understanding a patient’s presentation was validating in a way other healthcare providers lacked.
Sarah trained in neuroscience-focused clinical settings before founding Synapse — including Health Partners Neuroscience Center and Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, where she worked alongside neurologists and rehabilitation specialists treating complex conditions of the nervous system.
When not in clinic, you’ll find Sarah tending to her numerous houseplants and exploring the outdoors with her dog Busta.
