| Acupuncture: Originating in China 3,000 years ago, acupuncture is a system of healing based on balancing the body’s life force energy known as Qi. Qi flows along channels throughout the body, similar to the nervous and circulatory systems. An imbalance in the body’s energy may result in distress signals in the form of symptoms, physical, emotional or mental. An acupuncturist is trained to evaluate the underlying cause of a client’s problems or symptoms. Treating the person’s basic constitution as well as alleviating the symptoms is part of the treatment plan. Using thin, sterile, disposable needles, the acupuncturist inserts the needles along specific points of the meridian pathways to help balance and unblock the Qi. (Judith Brooks, Lilan Hsiang-Weiss) |

Have you ever noticed any recurring patterns in your life that really make no sense? That don't really seem to have any logical cause you can trace? Human beings eagerly damage themselves in an unworkable effort to help, heal, and say “I love you” to others of their kind. We observe our habitual ways of moving and we improve them not by attempting to do what we already know we can’t, but by cleverly coaxing our nervous systems to choose a more intelligent way. We show our bodies how to drop old habits of rigidity and inflexibility in a language it understands. The result is less shearing stress on joints in any of the demanding ways we choose to use them, whether it be sport, work or play. (Deborah Ackerman-Gross) |

Most practitioners will require clients to pay for an appointment that is not cancelled without twenty-four hour notice. Most practitioners require payment upon session completion. Please make your check payable to the individual practitioner.
Although these practitioners are located in the same office, they are separate businesses and are not in partnership with Health Touch NC LLC or with each other.
