Judith began teaching dance and movement in 1981. This experience led to an interest in the correlation between physical, emotional and spiritual health. She has incorporated a number of techniques which together form an holistic approach to the healing experience. She also uses art as a pathway to access and process the various emotional and spiritual components contributing to her quality of life. Her approach is both practical and intuitive.
A former banker, Judith was first introduced to massage therapy through her sister who gave her a gift certificate for a massage session for her birthday in 1989. That session changed Judith’s life! She immediately began attending every possible workshop available to learn the techniques and body mechanics needed to practice massage therapy. By 1995 she had built her practice to the point that she decided to leave her banking career in order to devote herself full time to her practice. This was only the beginning. As she continued her studies energy work began to be more and more intriguing and she devoted herself to the education and practice of Polarity Therapy.
Judith has been practicing massage and bodywork therapy since 1990, and polarity therapy since 1996. She is nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, as well as certified by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy. Judith received her associate degree training in Polarity Therapy through Gabriella Tal’s Listening Hands Polarity Program. She continued her education in Polarity Therapy through Tree of Life Polarity Center in Saxapahaw, taught by Janice Durand. She received her registered degree (RPP) in 1996 and was a teaching assistant with Janice in the APP program until 2001. Judith also taught a basic introduction to Polarity at the Coastal Carolina Institute in Wilmington, NC from 1997 through 2000. She is currently retired from the teaching arena and is enjoying her private practice at Health Touch.
